A guitar amplifier, or amp, is used to amplify the sound of an electric guitar. An audio cable connects the amp to the guitar; volume, bass, and treble controls are used to adjust the guitar amp's sound output. Most guitar amps have built-in speakers and some amps include reverb feature.
